Hungarian Vocabulary

The Body and Health

Parts of the body and words for when you are not feeling well. Pairs of body parts are usually singular in Hungarian: Kék a szeme. (She has blue eyes, literally "her eye is blue".) To say something hurts, use fáj with a possessive: Fáj a fejem. (I have a headache, "my head hurts".) Note that láb means both "leg" and "foot", and kéz only "hand": the arm is kar.
